Wyoming Stargazing Email Newsletter

It had been a couple of years since I had designed an email newsletter template for Wyoming Stargazing, so it was time to give them a more modern design. I went for a clean and minimal look that made good use and accents of their logo colors.

The header is a photo that I took that I donated to them for use in the email, which I felt was similar to their logo colors, but not so much that it was distracting. The silhouetted mountains also made for a great way to extend a dark background to highlight the "special announcement" title of the email.

To keep things clean and modern, I incorporated the text over the main background to minimize distractions and put the focus squarely on the email content. Inside of the content, I created a few special classes within Mailchimp to create an orange highlighted section, among other smaller, similar features. I duplicated the logo shape at the start of the footer to bridge the content into the footer, where special actions can be taken.
